The days flew past in a whirl of rehearsals before the event and changes of costumes, hairstyles – such as “victory curls” – and uniform makeup for each performance, Peterson said.

In an email, Emaley Losic said four of the five remaining USS Arizona survivors spoke, and some of the girls were able to meet and speak with them.
